Information Literacy (Microcredential)
The seven-credit Information Literacy microcredential encompasses skills related to researching, evaluating and understanding information in the 21st century using current technology and systems.
The three-course sequence can be transferred into several degrees at the college.
This microcredential addresses the information literacy competency requirement in the SUNY General 教育 requirements.

Program Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of this microcredential, students will be able to:
- 找到, 解释, 评估, synthesize and analyze resources for validity and suitability, as well as documenting information in the development of a research project.
- Identify how information is organized, 存储, and disseminated while explaining current issues relating to information policy and use.
- Formulate systematic methods of library and Internet research, while employing computer technology to facilitate and enhance their writing and research.
